Mantis Shrimp Punch (mantis.ubd.gg) · UBD Games · Last updated: October 24, 20261. Information we collect
- Ranking records. To run the world ranking we store a random device identifier generated by your browser, the nickname you choose (up to 10 characters), your result (escape time or glass progress, number of dives and punches), the time of the record and your approximate country (from your IP address, as provided by our hosting provider). Your IP address itself is not stored with your records.
- Escape ticket. When you start a new escape we issue a signed ticket to detect impossible records. It contains the device identifier and a timestamp.
- Backup code (optional). If you open Settings & backup and tap SHOW, we create a recovery code linked to your device identifier and store a copy of your in-game progress (upgrades, pearls, glass progress, best time, nickname) so you can restore it on another device. Anyone with the code can restore that progress, so keep it private. To limit guessing, a short-lived hash of your IP address is kept for a day when a wrong code is entered.
- Usage statistics. We count visits, game starts and escapes (device identifier, device type, country, referring website) to improve the game, and we use Google Analytics (cookies, IP anonymized by Google, advertising features off) on mantis.ubd.gg.
- Data stored on your device. Your progress, best time, nickname, device identifier, backup code and settings are saved in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data removes them.
